Mission Statement:

I work from a strength based systems perspective as I believe that all individuals have the desire to function at their best, but frequently life experiences and lack of knowledge or understanding prevent this from occurring. Utilization of an eclectic approach to therapy allows treatment to be tailored to the needs of the client. Frequently used frameworks include Cognitive-Behavioral and Relational Therapies.

As a Christian I acknowledge the Trinity as the source of healing and life and consider my chosen vocation a calling from God. I personally invite the presence of the Spirit into the process and seek direction and guidance of the Spirit. While I may discuss a person’s faith and spiritual side if they introduce it into the session, I refer the client back to their pastor or faith leader when they are struggling with specific matters of beliefs or biblical interpretation. In addition, I do not permit my personal faith to interfere with the therapeutic process and am comfortable working with all denominations and belief systems.

I have had a rich personal journey which has included both the highs and lows of life. I believe this adds to my ability to understand and help those in their life situations. In addition to my vocation as a therapist, I am a wife and mother of 2 adult daughters. We have lived in the Cambridge area for over 20 years.
