Mission Statement:
My theoretical orientation is Psychodynamic using the theories of Self-Psychology and Intersubjectivity. I believe in a gracious God who became Incarnate in Jesus Christ and lives on in our world in the Person of the Holy Spirit. Consequently, I believe that God makes Himself present in the relationship between therapist and patient in a loving, respectful, and gracious way. Self-psychology, because of it’s emphasis on an empathic mode of introspection fits with my experience of a God who empathizes with our human experience. Through empathy and grace He draws us towards wholeness of mind, body and spirit into healed relationship with Himself and with each other. I feel privileged and humbled to be a part of that process.
