Mission Statement:
I believe that counselling is a healing ministry, and that God is the source of all healing. I also believe that God has called me into this profession, and it is therefore through the gifts He has given me, and also through the leading of the Holy Spirit, that anything gets accomplished in my office. I therefore strive to be Christ-centred, and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, in order for God's agenda to be accomplished in each session. For me, this is a dual task of listening both to the individual(s) in my office, and to the Holy Spirit, and then to try my best to be obedient to the use of my skills and training, as well as to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Other things that masy or may not be important are that a large part of what occurs within my office would fall into the category of inner healing, or the healing of memories. I believe that we all carry wounds from our past, and that these wounds keep us in captivity/bondage. They interfere with our becoming who God created us to be. If we believe that God created us for a plan and purpose, and these wounds interfere with us living up to our God-given potential, then I also believe that God has a vested interest in healing us and setting us free, so that we can accomplish His purpose in our lives. When Jesus declared that He came to proclaim liberty to captives, it was exactly this same healing that He was proclaiming, both then and now. I believe that counselling is a very anointed profession, and I am humbled by the fact that this is what God has called me into. This, in a nutshell, explains who I am, and my philosophy regarding counselling.
