Patsy Taylor:

Patsy has worked as a therapist in various settings since 1984. After several years of teaching high school psychology, Patsy decided to make a greater impact in the lives of hurting youth, individuals and families by pursuing a career as a therapist. With Master degrees in both social work and counselling, Patsy brings a wealth of experience from her work in children's homes, parachurch counselling ministry, and both day hospital and outpatient clinics with Minirth-Meier in the U.S. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists & Psychotherapists as well as a Licensed U.S. Clinical Social Worker.

Patsy's strong area of focus is with family therapy for children, youth, adults, and families. Patsy has also counselled on issues related to blended family dynamics, parenting, divorce relational/marital difficulties, anger, school struggles, sexual abuse, addictions, self-esteem, and emotional/behavioural disorders. She welcomes clients to bring their spirituality into therapy sessions, and when desired will work through issues from a Christian perspective. Patsy's passion is to come along side people so they can overcome their personal struggles and reach their full potential and purpose in life.

New Life was founded in 1985. We are a non-profit, Christian-based counselling service. We offer counselling to people on a sliding scale fee according to their income. This is made possible through the generous donations from churches, service groups, individuals and businesses within the local communities
