Mission Statement:
Ausable Family Services is committed to the following principles:
(1) Personal growth and healthy socialization takes place most effectively in a stable family atmosphere. The essence of treatment planning for the child lies in opportunities to form meaningful relationships. For this reason we operate a family model treatment program. Our treatment foster parents are viewed as the primary therapeutic agents. Other therapeutic input is provided as a supplement to the family model.
(2) The development of a healthy value system is of critical importance in providing a foundation for responsible behaviour and decision-making, leading to a sense of accomplishment and surety in the larger community. Ausable Family Services encourages the development of a personal value system within our residents with a clinical program that is also supported through historic Christian principles.
(3) Our goal is reintegration of the resident into the community. For this reason we operate a community based program using community resources (YMCA, churches, schools, etc.) as much as possible.
